GENERAL UNIVERSITY RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE OF STUDENTS

Students   should   please   note   that   all   extant   University   and   Faculty   rules, regulations and procedures apply. In addition, particular attention should be given to the following:

  • Students are advised to take good care of their personal belongings. The University will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of personal effects.
  • Any breach of the peace or any social nuisance within the University premises should be reported to the appropriate University Authority.
  • Absence from lectures, tutorials or practical classes requires the approval of the Head of Department and the Deans concerned.
  • Students  are  not  allowed  to  consume,  keep,  sell  or  indulge  in  alcoholic  drinks within the University premises. Students caught contravening this provision shall be made to face Disciplinary Committee.
  • Students are  not  allowed  to  consume,  keep  or  sell  other  illicit  drugs  within  the University premises. Students caught indulging in such act(s) shall be handed over to the Police. Attention is particularly drawn to penalty of Decree 2 of 1984 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If convicted, the student will automatically ceases to be KSUSTA student.
  • Students  shall  not  indulge  in  physical  combat  within  the  University  premises.
  • Students who violate this provision may face civil offence prosecution by the police.
  • Students shall not take laws into their hands. Any student who takes law into his/her hands shall face civil offence prosecution by the police.
  • Nudity is not allowed on the University campuses. Any student caught contravening the regulation shall face civil offence prosecution.
  • Any student caught stealing within the University community shall be handed over to the University Security Division to face criminal prosecution by the police.
  • Political Parties and their activities are not allowed on campus. However as citizens of the country, students are free to belong to any political party of their choice.
  • Any student accuse of rape shall be handed over to the police and would be liable to expulsion from the University if convicted by a law court.
  • Any student caught forging any document relevant to his/her admission shall be expelled from the University and if already graduated, the degree certificate will be withdrawn.
  • A student who appears before the relevant University committee and gives false evidence  that  may  mislead  the  University  Authority  shall  be  liable  to  sever punishment or expulsion from the University.
  • Students are responsible for the conduct of their visitors within the premises of the University.
  • Students  who  indulge  in  sexual  harassment  of  fellow  students  and  other members of the University community shall be liable to severe punishment or even expulsion.
  • Cultism  or  related  activities  are  prohibited  within  the  University  premises.
  • Students caught indulging in any cultist activities on campus shall be expelled and handed over to the police for prosecution!
