Team Secret, Sentinels And Team Liquid Headline Stacked Day Two Of ‘Valorant’ Champions

The Valorant Champions 2021 tournament got underway yesterday with three incredible matches to kick off the world championship, but as far as the headline games go, day two is where things start to get really interesting, with the likes of Sentinels, Team Liquid, Team Secret and reigning Valorant Masters champions Gambit Esports playing later today.

The day will start out with Gambit Esports taking on Team Secret at 9am ET. Gambit are coming in off the back of winning the Valorant Masters Berlin tournament, where they upset Team Envy in the final with a dominant 3-0 performance, and are one of the favourites to win this event as well. Team Secret on the other hand are one of the top teams in SEA, a region that is yet to prove itself on the international stage. A win against one of the strongest teams in the competition would really be a great way to start their journey towards the world championship title.

After the first match, Sentinels will take on Furia, in a match that is sure to be entertaining. For a lot of the season Sentinels were seen as one of the best teams in the world, if not the best, but have fallen off slightly in recent months. Furia on the other hand are one of three Brazilian squads looking to make a name for themselves on the international stage at this event. The country has a long successful history in other shooters, so it feels like it is only a matter of time before a Brazilian squad makes it to the top of Valorant

The final match of the day features even more big names, with European roster Team Liquid taking on KRÜ Esports, the team that dominated the LATAM region all year. As far as close games on paper go, this looks to be one of the best of the day. Both rosters have seen success in their region throughout the year and will no doubt be looking start off their campaign with a win later today.

All the action can of course be watched on Twitch, and really the event is just getting started. After the group stage we will finally start to see the titans of Valorant go head to head with the biggest stakes the game has ever seen. You certainly do not want to miss any of the action over the next couple of weeks.
